Mohammed VI Tower - Studio Akkerhuis

Client:

Besix

Year:

2018-2022

The Mohammed VI Tower in Rabat was the tallest building on the African continent when it was completed. The design by Spanish architect Rafael de la Hoz is based on a large base, from the center of which a 260m high tower rises. The tower includes mixed use, from offices on the lower floors, apartments and a hotel in the upper part.

Commissioned by a Belgian consortium as execution architect, the task was to develop the original design in accordance with French building regulations until the contractors were awarded and to coordinate the entire team of consultants.
